Abstract

This technical paper looks at tactics from a number of perspectives ranging from thinking about tactics fundamentally to specific types of concrete tactical ideas. It concludes with a word of warning about tactics- to put them in the context of positional play and planning. The paper uses excellent examples from three of the greatest tacticians arguably this century :- Kasparov, Fischer and Tal.

Feedback is welcome to be incorporated in future evolutions of this suite!
